Our Heritage family is saddened by the loss of another one of its own. Wilma Smith was a hard working and dedicated member to our organization. Many of you may know her from the East Information Booth (commonly known as Wilma’s booth) by the entertainment gazebo. She and her family have worked in that booth since the festival began. She will be missed by many and no doubt she will take charge and run Heaven’s information booth. Rest easy my friend.

She was a retired Nutrition Shop Manager with Kroger’s, was formerly employed at Polly’s Freeze and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville where she was very active in the Martha Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit E. Smith; her daughter, Brenda J. Pavey; her brothers, Edwin, Donald, William, Marvin and Russell Hussung; and her sister, Josephine Gibson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020, at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville. Pastor Mark Carnahan will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
