Queen and Princess Pageants

Friday, starts at 6:00 PM in the Lanesville High School gymnasium

Queen Pageant follows directly after the Princess Pageant.

Pageant Contest Prizes:

Queen – $500

Runner Up – $200

Miss Congeniality – $50

Princess – $100

Princess Runner Up – $50

Pageant is judged on the following categories:  1-on-1 interviews with each of the 3 judges, Business Attire, Evening gown, Question on stage from the MC, and Stage Presence.

Queen: Contestants who are eligible are: students at Lanesville High School or a resident of Franklin
Township between the grades of 9-12. Contestants will be judged. Contestants will be required to wear
2 different outfits. Professional Business attire and Evening Gown. Contestants will be interviewed by 3
different judges. Contestants will also be required to give a 3-minute speech on their platform of choice
that explains their take on the chosen topic and answer a prompted question by the emcee. The Corydon
Democrat will be taking a picture of all Queen contestants a week before the contest (date to be
determined) at Lanesville High School. Attendance is mandatory at rehearsal on Thursday, Sept. 8th at
6:30 p.m. The crowned Queen attendance is mandatory for the weekend.

Princess: Contestant who are eligible are: students at St. John’s Lutheran, Lanesville Elementary or a
resident of Franklin Township. Contestants must be at least 4 years of age and not more than 7 years of
age by July 1, 2023. Contestants should wear a dress (formal or informal). Contestants will be asked to
state their name and age on stage and asked a simple question. Attendance is mandatory at rehearsal
on Thursday of Heritage Weekend. The crowned Princess attendance is mandatory for the weekend.
All contestants are invited to participate in the parade held on Saturday. We will
meet at First Harrison Bank on Highway 62 at 11:30. Please wear the dress that you wore in the pageant.
All entry forms and release forms MUST be in by Friday, August 25, 2022.

Horse-shoe Pitching

Sunday at Noon Near Mail Pouch Barn

The contest is limited to the first 64 entries.

Antique Tractor Games

Sunday at 10:00 AM in the tractor pull area

Pedal Tractor Pull

Sunday at 2:00 PM in front of the Jaycee Building. Registration / Weigh in will take place in front of the Jaycee Building and will begin at 1:00 p.m. and close at 1:45 p.m. Contestants must be able to pedal the tractor without assistance.  All contestants must wear shoes. There will be a $1.00 entry fee for each contestant. The pulling tractor will be furnished for all participants.

There will be four classes of contestants.  Age limit is 12 years of age.

Class 1 (30-45 Pounds)

Class 2 (40-60 Pounds)

Class 3 (61-75 Pounds)

Class 4 (76-90 Pounds)

Amateur Fiddle Contest

Friday at 8:00 PM in the Heritage Community Center

There are two amateur classes for sixteen and under and seventeen and over.  There will be $300 in prizes.
